Medicine through the Ages
Image
This illustrated compilation, prepared to mark the national Archive Awareness Campaign "Discovery - Archives in Science, Technology and Medicine", presents a selection of Cumbrian sources taken from the collections of Cumbria Archive Centres in Barrow, Carlisle, Kendal and Whitehaven.
The archives we care for are a treasure trove of sources for the study of the history of our local area and in this selection we hope to bring alive the subject of 'medicine' across the ages. We hope to inspire you to find out more!
